Who has been watching the Impeachment Hearings.

Has there been any evidence yet provided?

I watched the first 2 hearings and nothing substantial came up and I rolled my eyes when one of the ambassadors was asked how she felt...really? Playing the emotion card? I'm looking for facts.

I didn't get to watch much of yesterday's hearing because I had people here at the house and then I had too much to catch up on so did I miss anything important?

I have the hearings on, but I'm at work so I catch bits and pieces. I did watch Tim Morrison and Kurt Volker answer "No" to quid pro quo, bribery, and cover-up.

I haven't been watching it since I don't think it is relevant. The Senate isn't going to impeach Trump. The Republicans don't care what the House does

That seems to be the case. The Dems committed themselves to impeachment even before there were any charges, so that won't change. And the Republicans in the Senate have no crimes to adjudicate. So there are probably only two question marks--"How long will the process take before it's over?" and "How will it play with the voters in the 2020 elections?"

It increasingly seems the primary (only?) crime of which Trump is actually guilty is the heinous crime of beating Queen Hillary in the 2016 election. Since then it seems the Democrats have chased one shadow after another after another in the hopes of impeaching him, to the point that now it seems like they are little more than the boy who cried wolf. As of now the chances are pretty high that Trump could actually commit a very serious crime and the response to an entirely justified call for impeachment would be little more than "yawn, what this time?"

I watched a bit of yesterday and today's hearings.

So far I'm still seeing the same old, I heard it from someone who heard it from someone...OR I feel that there was a crime committed but I have no proof whatsoever to document my feelings.

If someone feels that a crime might have been committed there's no need for evidence. I thought everybody knew that by now. Or at least felt that way.

Do the Democrats realize that when taken to the Senate that it will be a true trial and most of those witnesses don't have evidence that is needed to stand up in a court? Hearsay and feelings don't count as evidence. Evidence is needed to convict someone.

I confess I've watched little of the hearings (there is this thing called work.....)

But from what I've seen, it's all been GOSSIP and "I surmised" "I assumed" "I connected a lot of invisible dots of my own imagination." With no one actually connecting this directly to Trump.

The House will likely impeach Trump because the Democrats HATE him, with a deep, irrational, personal hate..... and they are MAD that he beat Queen Hilary.... and they are quite certain they can't defeat him next year and hope this will help.

The Senate of course will not remove him since there's NOTHING that suggests that.

And it will cause the Libs to hate him even more - but change no votes.
And it will cause the Republicans to rally behind him - but change no notes.
And the independents (who actually decide elections) will be disgusted by all this and will be more likely to vote for Trump.
And Nancy Polosi will cry, "I told you not to do this!"

From all the diplomats which have no reason to lie and his own past performances and words he is no better than a Mafia boss and common thug and bully. I dont care if you like him or not his words and actions speak for themselves

I agree. Thus NOTHING that remotely proves some personal "high crime." What we have has been a LOT of admitted gossip, personal "surmising" and "assuming", and "connecting of invisible dots."

But rather than being profoundly embarrassed by this, I'm sure the Democrats will work to impeach him in the House - making a MOCKERY of justice, the Rule of Law and the Constitution. Why? Because of intense, personal HATRED of the man, because he defeated Queen Hilary, and because they fear no one running for the nomination of their party can possibly defeat him via the democratic process. But all this will be for nothing (except the mockery of democracy and our Constitution).... the Senate won't remove him from office, and thus nothing changes. The Republicans will vote for him, the Democrats won't vote for him, and the Independents will be disgusted by this whole political cartoon - all while the Democrats did NOTHING for the nation but were all consumed by their personal hatred and fear.

Being a thug and bully is not an impeachable offense.

So where is the evidence besides I heard from someone or I felt like there was a crime?

All I can say is if you still think he is a good president and someone who should represent our country then you deserve what you get

I'm asking for proof that impeachment is justified. Not an opinion of the man's character.

The issue is not if he is a "good" president or good looking or a good golfer.... It's not whether Liberals love the man or intensively, passionately HATE him... it's not whether he should or should not have defeated Queen Hilary... the issue is whether it is proven he committed HIGH CRIMES while in office.

All we got of admitted gossip, heresay and presumptions..... and none of it linked Trump to any High Crime.

... and this is the crux of the matter. It's no surprise that half the country dislikes the candidate they voted against but frankly for purposes of impeachment nobody cares if he is liked or not. It's not an impeachable offence to be disliked. Many people disapprove of his policies, which is to be expected and also not an impeachable offence. Many more people disapprove of his Twitter habits, which still (at present) isn't an impeachable offence. Thoughts and feelings and hearsay and disapproval are well and good and carry some weight at the ballot box but are worthless when deciding whether or not a high crime has been committed.
