What it means to you and your denom, nothing that says babies should be baptized nor anything answering why no babies written about as being baptized. However, there is scripture which supports baptism and salvation

We also know that baptism is directly referred to as circumcision and we all know they were circumcised on their eighth day upon entering this world. I mean if age is a factor why didn't they just wait until their Bar Mitzvah when the child could choose to have the circumcision?

Jesus' baptism wasn't about age but it was intended for the beginning of his ministry. He had no sins to wash away, but instead took upon all our sins and carried them to the cross.

But right from the beginning they circumcised adult males and have continued to do so to converts. So just maybe the graces of God are dependent upon age.

John was not baptising when the Lord was born; saint John the Baptist was only six months old when the Lord was born.

When our Lord Jesus was baptized he said to let it be so to fulfill all righteousness. Lord Jesus as a man submitted Himself as any man would need to do to fulfill this righteous requirement( thouhgh He knew no sin). Baptism is required for the New Covenant believer.

God did want the Lord to be baptised and at the set time and by saint John the Baptist and "to fulfil all righteousness". But it is worth keeping in mind that John's baptism is not Christian Baptism (See Acts 19:1-5).

Why would Jesus have been baptized as in infant when it hadn't been instituted yet? As it was pointed out, He was circumcised according to the law.

OK baptisn was before the cross so was John the first> I dont know but I do tend to look at what is before the cross and what is after

well if we go back and browse the study that lammchen posted .. we see that an infant cannot have the capacity to believe and so by obedience be baptized by the symbolic burial of baptism in water ..
so infant baptism is of no value ..it can be likened to a blind and deaf man being ask to sign the contract he hes just been given to read ..

When you were registered for school the first day, did you give logical assent to registering for school, or did a parent/guardian act on your behalf, assuming full responsibility for the act? If a parent/guardian acted on your behalf (following your reasoning) it was of no value since the act was not out of your obedience or capacity to assent to your education.
