Not everyone gets spiritual eyes. How important is to not merely read scriptures with fleshly eyes and not understand them?
Word from the master goes like this:
Luke 10: 23. Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.
The word blessed is a be·at·i·tude a supreme blessedness.
24. For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it."
Wow many didn't see it. I'll save the hearing part of the phrase for another thread.
Luke 11: 34. Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness.
Again the word blessed is a be·at·i·tude a supreme blessedness. And again I'll save hearing for another thread.
Matthew 13: 16. But blessed are your eyes because they see,and your ears because they hear.
Again the word blessed is a be·at·i·tude a supreme blessedness. And again I'll save hearing for another thread.
But to every theologian on Christian Theology important words from the master.
Here it is:
Luke 24: 31. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight.
32. They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"
Questions:
Is merely reading scriptures with fleshly eyes and not understanding them. Is there any profit unless the scriptures are open from the master?
And are these scriptures only applying to the people of the kingdom of God as per MAD?
What you say?
