And Christ is Her Head...

"And I believe in One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church..."

And that Body has an unbroken history upon this earth...

Granted, the Latins have gone a little wonky, mind you...

So... you're a Baptist. Great. Now to fix your faulty theology.

Closer to a Presbyterian ... he believes the RCC needs to get back to Scripture and he likes to “Baptize dem bebes”.

We haven't changed it since Paul gave it to us...

It's obvious that we understand the Bible differently than you do in your KJV English reading of it...

And your view is a human derivation of a faulty English translation...

And was not taught by any of the Apostles in any of their Churches...

And so you want ME to believe YOU???

I will receive the Cup of Salvation...

(from the Apostolic Body of Christ...)

And I will Call on the Name of the Lord...

Paul didn't give it to you, though I don't doubt a monk made up the story to pass on the myth as fact.
You understand the Bible differently because you treat it as a second-hand document under your traditions. Really, you emulate the Pharisees quite remarkably.

Jesus' body is the church.

The Catholic denomination is not the church.

Demons never had flesh or blood but they can go into anything or anyone, in fact the demons are never mentioned until the NT... which raises a good question, how did His disciples even know what he meant when he spoke about "Demons"? The apocrypha mentions them... hmmmm

The Old Testament is more about earthy man and about what was coming, Jesus Christ. The New Testament is the Spiritual and spiritual things revealed.

However, 'evil spirit' is found in the Old Testament.

Just wondering...why did you say that?

Maybe he was bored and wanted to post something ;)

It might be an act of faith ...

Faith being, as holy scripture says, the substance of things hoped for ...

Maybe he is hoping someone will type about faith.

That would be radical!

He should be patient and more forgiving. :)

Arsenios

I will pray to the saints for you :)

This is a thread that's all about faith.

So take courage and have faith, the saints will come to your rescue, God willing.

Meanwhile I shall smile down upon you as you write your next post.

The Catholic denomination is not the church.

Technically, no “denomination” is the Church. The Church is PEOPLE, living, with Christ and yet to be born.

The church is the body of Christ with people who are born again. What do you mean 'yet' to be born?

There are people that keep believing and saying that God gives faith to us supernaturally, without our wanting or knowing.

So then, does God not want people in the hometown of Prophets to have faith?

Why doesn't the scriptures just say that God does not like people in the hometown of Prophets; therefore, He doesn't give much faith in those towns?

Now do you see how ignorant it is to believe God gives us faith without our doing anything?

Mark 6
A Prophet Without Honor

1 Jesus left there and went to his hometown, accompanied by his disciples. 2When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were amazed.

“Where did this man get these things?” they asked. “What’s this wisdom that has been given him? What are these remarkable miracles he is performing? 3Isn’t this the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s son and the brother of James, Joseph, a Judas and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him.

4 Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.” 5He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. 6 He was amazed at their lack of faith.

Jesus' body is the church.

The Catholic denomination is not the church.

Catholic, in the Confession of the Creed, is an Adjective...

Rome has tried to usurp it as their exclusive nominative...

The Reformation believed them...

Lies die hard...

Look at the poor Samurai in WWII...

Maybe we should do a thread on what Salvation in Christ IS...???

I mean, we have very different understandings of what that means...

Yet I would be surprised if we did not have a commonality of direct knowledge...
