Matthew 12:15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

12:16 And charged them that they should not make him known:

12:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

12:18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.

12:21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

Jesus, in verse 16, commanded that they should not make him known. Jesus was fulfilling the law and the prophets. Isaiah said he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles, and in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

Isaiah would be fulfilled, but, it was not yet time to go unto the Gentiles. Jesus at this time was only going to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Matthew 15:24

The deeper I get in this Christian walk, the more and more convinced I become that Christianity is very much, from top to bottom, an undercover operation of God behind enemy lines coming visible only occasionally...
