Oh, so now we are to change the ground rules, i.e. to change the accusation that I thought was unfounded? Perhaps you can find someone who disagrees with the complaint you have raised here and wants to argue about it, but it's not what I was commenting on.
Funny I thought you said american greed and these are american companies run for the most part by americans.

Sure. In order to keep your contention alive, you chose not to mention all the greedy people, CEOs, corporations, etc. in any other country. Who could fall for such an obvious gimmick as that?

On the contrary, I took exception to another poster who had claimed that 'Greed is the American Way'.

I disagreed with that claim on several different grounds, one of which was about confining the judgment to Americans.

You left off the rest of that and did not address it

Donald didn't get funding to build a wall, it is less likely that funding will be made available after January 2019. The wall is not likely to be built any time before the 2020 elections. After that only the voters can decide.

The wall is a dumb idea and only those inclined to be that way will want that.

The only one who will benefit from the wall is Trump and his billionaire friends. They will make tons of cash at tax payers expense. It will not stop desperate people from coming.
By the way, he said Mexico would pay for it, or is that part of the promise forgotten?

You cannot have it both ways--the American taxpayers will pay for it or OTOH the Mexican government will pay for it. Not if you want the message to have any credibility at all.

Yeah as the USA-Mexico need to come to an understanding, put aside their differences, build the wall, and split the pay and not let those violent offenders in.

It looks as though the Mexican government might finally be waking up to what is going on and might at last be willing to work with the USA for the benefit of the citizens of both countries. But it's still ''might'' at this point in time.

What has Mexico to gain from a wall built to keep Latinos and Latinas out?

You know so little about the situation as to ask a question like that?

Yes, I get it. We are supposed to assume that because the Mexicans are Latins and the Salvadorans and Hondurans are also Latins, not to mention the Asians and Africans who are also following the same routes north...

that they are all the same as Mexicans--to the Mexicans. And harmless., too.

Some people would call that notion insulting. Others would just think it naïve or racist.

Empty minds lead to empty messages, it is said.

They could 'gain' citizenship the rightful and legal way for one.
The wall will never keep Latinos and Latinas out, just those who want to break the law by entering in illegally (they are most likely the offenders of the law... that's the entire point).

Mexicans are already citizens, of Mexico. Most do not appear to want to go to the USA. That is why 129.2 million of them live in Mexico.
