1 Samuel 16:14-15
This event occurs immediately after David is anointed by Samuel as king in the place of Saul. Because of Saul's disobedience,
he was rejected as king. Even though from this point on there are many years before David begins to reign.
It seems that those around Saul attribute his behavior to an evil spirit and they add that it is from God.

This opens the door for them to search out and find a musician named David who will come and play the harp for Saul when he gets agitated.
same chapter verses 18-20
18 One of the servants answered, “I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is a brave man and a warrior. He speaks well and is a fine-looking man. And the Lord is with him.”
19 Then Saul sent messengers to Jesse and said, “Send me your son David, who is with the sheep.” 20 So Jesse took a donkey loaded with bread, a skin of wine and a young goat and sent them with his son David to Saul.
What do you make of how the people around Saul characterized what was happening to him?
