The Law is for living in grace.

USE THE LAW PROPERLY - NOT FOR SALVATION, BUT FOR HOLY LIVING
Rom 7:12 Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.

1 Tim 1:8 But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully.

Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.

YESHUA COMMANDS IT
Matt 5:19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

John 14:10,15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments.

YESHUA WARNS AGAINST LAWLESSNESS
Matt 7:23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

Matt 13:41 Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness.

Matt 23:28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

John 5:14 Jesus found the man at the Temple [area] and said to him, “See, you are well now. Stop sinning.

John 8:11 Jesus said, “I also don’t judge you guilty [condemn you]. ·You may go now, but don’t sin anymore."

PAUL WARNS AGAINST LAWLESSNESS
Rom 6:19 For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness.

2 Cor 6:14 What fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness?

1 Tim 1:9 The law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers.

Heb 1:9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness, therefore God has anointed you." - see also Psalms 45:7

1 Cor 15:34 Come back to your right way of thinking [Come to your senses; or Sober up as you should] and stop sinning. Some of you ·do not know [or are ignorant about] God—I say this to shame you.

PAUL SAID HE KEPT THE LAW BLAMELESSLY
Phil 3:4, 6 If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more so: concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

JOHN SAID WE SHOULD WALK LIKE YESHUA DID
1 John 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
MOSES, DAVID, PAUL, AND JOHN SAY THERE IS FORGIVENESS FOR SINS
Rom 4:7 Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered. - see also Psalms 32:1

Lev 4:26 So the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin, and it shall be forgiven him. - see also Lev 4:35, 5:10

Titus 2:14 Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more. - see also Heb 10:17

1 John 3:4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The Law is useful as a curb, mirror and guide. The Holy Spirit uses the Law so that we can learn, yet it always accuses us. That's why the Law and Gospel go hand in hand. The Law is like a hammer that comes down on us as we realize we cannot live it perfectly. God gives us the Gospel to give us peace in knowing we are forgiven.

If you think of the laws of the old covenant as creating a boundary for Israel's walk in faith then the law has its proper use among Christians under the new covenant yet the law of the new covenant in Christ Jesus is not the law given on mount Sinai because it is a new covenant with a new priesthood and a new sacrifice which is able to completely cleans both the sins and the consciences of the faithful. My faith is this:
Teacher, what good must I do to have eternal life?” (Matthew 19:16).
To the young man who asked this question, Jesus answered, “If you would enter into life, keep the commandments”, and then he added, “Come, follow Me” (Matthew 19:16-21). To follow Jesus involves keeping the commandments. The law has not been abolished but man is invited to rediscover it in the Person of the divine Master who realized it perfectly in himself, revealed its full meaning and attested to its permanent validity.

How did Jesus interpret the Law?
Jesus interpreted the Law in the light of the twofold yet single commandment of love, the fullness of the Law: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. And the second is like it: you shall love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets” (Matthew 22:37-40)

What importance does the Church give to the Decalogue?
The Church, in fidelity to Scripture and to the example of Christ, acknowledges the primordial importance and significance of the Decalogue. Christians are obliged to keep it.

Is it possible to keep the Decalogue?
Yes, because Christ without whom we can do nothing enables us to keep it with the gift of his Spirit and his grace.

Somehow writing the law or using the written law to not sin does not work, as if pointing out the negative things makes us run too them. Only Faith can keep the sin of the flesh from you. For God made all, and if all are of God then how can they sin? To give all up to God in Faith is literally the only way to not sin. God doesn't sin. If you are wholly his which we all are by default(Jesus), then you can't sin, if you sin oft then how can you truthfully be God's creation?

Faith in selfless Unity for Good.

The law will not stop you from sinning; it never has had that power. The law gives one the outline of the promised land where holy living is possible. It is grace that empowers one to live a holy life that is pleasing to God and the faithful are called to live a holy life as the holy scriptures say:
Your minds, then, must be sober and ready for action; put all your hope in the grace brought to you by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Do not allow yourselves to be shaped by the passions of your old ignorance, but as obedient children, be yourselves holy in all your activity, after the model of the Holy One who calls us, since scripture says, 'Be holy, for I am holy.' (1 Peter 1:13-16)

Another thing to remember is this. We don't live by God's Law to earn any brownie points or gain anything. It is a way to show love for God and our neighbor though.

When one give the matter some thought and reads the old covenant in the light of Christ it becomes clear that nobody has ever earned their way into heaven, Christ alone excepted, by obedience to the law or any commandments of God. Grace has always been the means by which the faithful live in God's blessings. Saint Paul explains the matter this way:
So Paul stood before the whole council of the Areopagus and made this speech: 'Men of Athens, I have seen for myself how extremely scrupulous you are in all religious matters, because, as I strolled round looking at your sacred monuments, I noticed among other things an altar inscribed: To An Unknown God. In fact, the unknown God you revere is the one I proclaim to you. 'Since the God who made the world and everything in it is himself Lord of heaven and earth, he does not make his home in shrines made by human hands. Nor is he in need of anything, that he should be served by human hands; on the contrary, it is he who gives everything -- including life and breath -- to everyone. From one single principle he not only created the whole human race so that they could occupy the entire earth, but he decreed the times and limits of their habitation. And he did this so that they might seek the deity and, by feeling their way towards him, succeed in finding him; and indeed he is not far from any of us, since it is in him that we live, and move, and exist, as indeed some of your own writers have said: We are all his children. 'Since we are the children of God, we have no excuse for thinking that the deity looks like anything in gold, silver or stone that has been carved and designed by a man. 'But now, overlooking the times of ignorance, God is telling everyone everywhere that they must repent, because he has fixed a day when the whole world will be judged in uprightness by a man he has appointed. And God has publicly proved this by raising him from the dead.' (Acts 17:22-31)

Someone said to me once "Do you keep the law?". I replied "No, I don't. The law keeps me."

Romans 7:5-7King James Version (KJV)

5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
King James Version (KJV)

The whole of the law hangs on love sisters and brothers IN Jesus Christ.

the problem with returning to the law is the guilt(accusation) it has the power to bring . if i set out to "keep the law " ..i must set out to keep it ALL.. for if i break it at any single point ..i have broken the law and become guilty of doing so and so condemned anew .

but a person is only bound to that law while they live in the flesh . if a person dies they are no longer under that law .

this is made clear in the example of marriage ..: if the husband or wife dies .. then death ends the law which bound them together under the law .. they are free to remarry after one dies.

so it is with us who by faith ,enter into the death of the lord JEsus through the waters of baptism ..(being laid down in the waters signifying the burying of the life of the flesh ) and in so doing ,by faith , die to the righteous requirements of the law which none can keep and by which no man is justified .

then ,by faith , we are raised again unto life IN CHRIST JESUS -who was without sin and are no longer under the law having died in christ who alone was without sin and who alone fulfilled all its requirements because he did not sin .as long as we are IN HIM we are IN his accomplishment. and as long as he is IN us his accomplishment is in us ..

this is why paul says .."it is no longer I that lives but Christ that lives in me and the life i now live in the flesh i live by the faith of the son of God who loved me and gave himself for me "- if we then turn around and suggest we must again observe the law then we risk turning from FAith IN HIM and having faith in our own ability to keep the whole law without error .,. which has already been proven ,we cannot do .. this error can lead to condemnation .

if some desire to observe certain festivals as acts of worshiping the lord ..they are free to do so.. if some do not observe , they are also free to do so .
having been raised to life and made alive again - in the Holy Ghost - we live by the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus (we are never lawless). While we abide in him and him in us and walk obedient to the Holy Spirit - we will not sin. nor violate the perfect laws of God .

Do you really think uprightness is simply belief in the son without following his word?

Faith in selfless Unity for Good.

Keep the Ten for it is the moral law for all. You get into the other 603 and they all do not apply to all... you have those that apply to just females, babies, priests, or just men of war...etc You have to also know which are fulfilled like the sacrifices.. where they have gone from rehearsal to memorial in Yeshua and what He did for us in the first coming.

I know what you presented is the "lawless" presentation of the "grace only" crowd. You can't know the perfect law of God unless you meditate upon them. The Holy Spirit will instruct you from there. If you walk in the spirit without knowing which spirit, then who is guiding you. You are to know them by their walk. Their walk is evident that they worship the God of Abraham, Isaac, Yeshua and all the other disciples. I know Paul's words have been used exclusively to promote this "grace without the law".

As to the law accusing or excusing you, that is its job. How else will it be able to reveal to you sin?

Let me ask you this.. on the husband or wife dies... Death does end the law that bounds them together under the law and they are free to remarry some one else. ... But the law itself does not end... because that same law that bound them together will also bind someone else with them in the next marriage... It is the law of marriage.. forsaking all others .... So let me ask you, are the new couple without the law of marriage?

Holiness is he who is separate by God for specially close relationship. Blessed by His Spirit of Holiness, walks in a spiritual insightful world, that we acknowledge as prophetic.

Purity is the concept to remedy impurity of which the Lord has defined, a reality and affliction not only by sin, but also by contact with the dead. "Cleanliness is next to godliness" is a phrase we have all heard and it ties in with "Wash me with Hyssop and I will be clean". It is a preparatory stage in preparing to meet with God. It is the cleansing of the mind, or better yet keeping it pure and never defiled. It is the cleaning of the body both inside and out, by both the process and the attention to corruptions in all their forms that could come in contact or invade the body.

The deeper one digs into the concepts the more one learns about themselves and their relationship with God. Some things to think about. How much difference is there between holiness and purity?

I am a poor MISERABLE sinner. I only exist because of the boundless, unconditional MERCY of God in Christ. There is no goodness in me that counts for anything. NOTHING in my hand I bring, SIMPLY to Thy Cross I cling.

Yet God created human beings in his image and pronounced creation good. The fall surely cannot have utterly thwarted God's creation work nor render utterly corrupt what God made good.
