In the early centuries of our era many Christians died as martyrs for their faith in Jesus Christ. Through all the centuries since some Christians have been martyred for their faith in Jesus Christ. In my lifetime many Catholic missionaries, monks, nuns, and lay people have died as martyrs for their faith. Are martyrs saints in heaven according to your thinking?

According to Revelation the souls of those martyred are under the throne of God so I guess that counts a s a special place in heaven. The catholic view of saints I dont hold to as the gifts are available to all in the family and they are all called saints but of course most never reach a place where they are used of God in that way mainly because they never enter in and leave the world behind, their old man rules instead of God so they never really enter in to His rest and are unusable in the kingdom.

Many saints of God were martyred by the church at Rome. It is much like how Israel and Judah killed its prophets.

No, all believers are saints saved by grace.

There are two different meanings for the word. Lets not argue over it every time a post includes the word.

Does your reply mean that some martyrs are not saints in heaven? After all I did ask In my lifetime many Catholic missionaries, monks, nuns, and lay people have died as martyrs for their faith. Are martyrs saints in heaven according to your thinking?
