I have no concern about marriage outside of the Church. Any churches that do follow suit, bear their own condemnation.
Welcome to Christianity Haven, thank you for visiting! If you have not already, we invite you to create an account and join in on the many discussions we have!
Unless some denomination chooses to celebrate same sex marriages then it is within their civil and religious freedoms to do so, right?
Yes it is and I know there are those who do s but I am not in agreement with it and I think they risk their souls in doing so

I agree that no church ought to celebrate such marriages because to do so appears to be contrary to the teaching of Christ yet I hesitate to pronounce a condemnation upon those who do because condemnation really is in the power of God alone.
Has anyone claimed otherwise?
I disagree. If I perform a wedding ceremony over what is not a covenant marriage, then I defraud the participants by assuring them of God's blessing over what is a sinful relationship. If I stand silently, I give assent to that and participate in that deception.I agree that no church ought to celebrate such marriages because to do so appears to be contrary to the teaching of Christ yet I hesitate to pronounce a condemnation upon those who do because condemnation really is in the power of God alone.

I am disagreeing with you stance of not expressing our condemnation on those who call themselves shepherd, but who lead their charges into deceptionExactly what are you disagreeing with?

"Yet I hesitate to pronounce a condemnation upon those who do because condemnation really is in the power of God alone." Your words. so I disagree with that statement.
Yes, I do. The "don't judge" point of view is not real. By silence you approve, you contribute to the possible ultimate condemnation of others. Just as you challenge others to walk in a manner worthy of their calling, you must also when you see a brother in sin, do something about it. In this case, a person who calls themselves a minister of the gospel, give a worldly blessing to a ceremony that is not blessed by god and lead others to believe it is, leading to their possible condemnation. You disagree that I, personally, hesitate to pronounce a condemnation upon those who do because condemnation really is in the power of God alone?

You are a rock, you are an island.I am persuaded that I am a far better judge of what I hesitate to do than you.
