David Wood was a very good friend of Nabeel Qureshi. David's story of God's grace extended to him is worth listening to.
As for an Atheist, the Psalms say: "A fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.'"
The Proverbs have much to say about talking with fools.
I think David Wood is right on with his remarks.
Proverbs 26:4-12
[4]Don’t answer the foolish arguments of fools, *** or you will become as foolish as they are.
[5]Be sure to answer the foolish arguments of fools, *** or they will become wise in their own estimation.
[6]Trusting a fool to convey a message *** is like cutting off one’s feet or drinking poison!
[7]A proverb in the mouth of a fool *** is as useless as a paralyzed leg.
[8]Honoring a fool *** is as foolish as tying a stone to a slingshot.
[9]A proverb in the mouth of a fool *** is like a thorny branch brandished by a drunk.
[10]An employer who hires a fool or a bystander *** is like an archer who shoots at random.
[11]As a dog returns to its vomit, *** so a fool repeats his foolishness.
[12]There is more hope for fools *** than for people who think they are wise.

I agree if someone (of any belief) is dead set on non-falsifiable assumptions then it's pointless to try to convince them of anything. I think conspiracy theorists are the worst at this in my experience.

But on the other hand I don't spend any time thinking about gods and whether they exist or how to persuade anyone of my belief or non-belief in such things.

A good book to read that has helped me enormously in communicating with atheists is Norman Geisler and Frank Turek's book "I don't have enough faith to be an atheist." Warning though, Calvinists would go insane if they tried to read it.

That guy in the video is pretty good. It's worth taking his advice the next time an opportunity to witness to an atheist presents itself.

The best way to deal with atheists is to love them.
