No flippy floppy sir.

Your claim you start it off, or leave it be.

Not this thread please.

You brought up the Quran. I showed you its flaws. You can show the passages in the Quran that you feel are quotes from the Bible and then I can dismantle your claims.

I have no need to start the thread. You have brought Muhammad into this mix. If you think the Quran has a leg to stand on, please share your view. Otherwise, the facts I have already shared are sufficient to make my point here.
No sir.

I only stated the name Musa which is the English translation of the Arabic word for Moses.

You went from there.

Musa,

Never heard of this before, interesting.
I heard his name in the Spirit and it sounded quite different.

As you and mennosoto reconcile.
I don't mind that it is in this thread.

And honestly don't consider your conversation to be a derailing of the thread.

You two are welcome to continue..

Blessings Always

What specific verse are you referring to? Start a thread and explain how the Quran quotes the Bible.
Any you like within the other thread.

Thanks

I'm speaking of the Quran specifically now that you brought it up; not Mohammad neccisarily, or people who confess belief in the Quran with their mouth.

Sorry for separate replies....

I think I read that you heard the name of Moses through or by the Spirit. Is that correct please?

I only mention it because i never received any particular name.....it was just known that it was GOD....now looking back it seems it was simply of GOD; yet still; One and the Same per my poor sight and hearing anyway....

Was just interesting really.

I don't understand why you are asking me that.

I've only shared one verse which was only a reiteration of another users post that to him, I assume, showed a stark discrepancy between the two sacred books.

I was saying feel free to provide any verse you like and I will gladly respond to it, as it is your obvious contention that they are opposed to one another.

Me seeing them as very similar; i cannot readily give you your examples you need to show your point. I can't see your point to verify it for you. And it wouldn't be too helpful towards my point even if I knew what examples you may have in mind.

I said "any that you wish" because I am confident that the two books are that similar in nature and origin.

Might I ask what it caused you to reflect upon or what it brought connotations of? The name you heard that you associate with blessed Moses?

It was sudden and unexpected, i hadn't given much thought to his name in the past.

The circumstances surrounding the experience will remain private until a later time.
Personally it is something I will need to further grow in understanding before I speak more about it.

As for the Arabic community
They are in my thoughts and prayers.
In my heart I desire that all come to know the Lord Yeshua (jesus) Our savior.

All Good gifts come from heaven.
And i find it strange that a person would deny such a gift.

Even as I did at one point in my life.
But that person is a fading memory.

I don't understand who or what you are referring to when you say a person is denying a thing.

Feel free to discuss anything you like friend. I didn't mean to pressure you into speaking about things that aren't ready to speak on.

It is good to hear of your hopes...they sound like those of a sincere believer.

Only after reading again did I catch your seeming meaning; that you where speaking of a past self.

Peace be with you also, the healing is in the oil and wine.
many are called

In looking forward to the full moon rising in the west this yr.
i was reminded of the bread with oil and what our Lord said concerning his body.
The pure table

On the first day for matzah, the talmidim came to Yeshua and asked,
“Where do you want us to prepare your Seder?”
“Go into the city, to so-and-so,” he replied, “and tell him that the Rabbi says, ‘My time is near, my talmidim and I are celebrating Pesach at your house.’”

The talmidim did as Yeshua directed and prepared the Seder.

Leviticus 24 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

24 (vii) Adonai said to Moshe,
“Order the people of Isra’el to bring you pure oil from crushed olives for the light, to keep lamps burning always. 3 Outside the curtain of the testimony in the tent of meeting, Aharon is to arrange for the light to be kept burning always from evening until morning before Adonai ; this is to be a permanent regulation through all your generations. 4 He is always to keep in order the lamps on the pure menorah before Adonai.
5 “You are to take fine flour and use it to bake twelve loaves, one gallon per loaf. 6 Arrange them in two rows, six in a row, on the pure table before Adonai. 7 Put frankincense with each row to be an offering made by fire to Adonai in place of the bread and as a reminder of it. 8 Regularly, every Shabbat, he is to arrange them before Adonai ; they are from the people of Isra’el, as a covenant forever. 9 They will belong to Aharon and his sons; and they are to eat them in a holy place; because for him they are, of the offerings for Adonai made by fire, especially holy.
This is a permanent law.”

And what do you gather from that?

Persevere in faithfulness?

Keep the things of GOD close?

Be ever vigilant?

Reflect the Light for others to see?

Thanks in advance friend.

Increase our Faith..

growing in the little miracles until a person grows to be responsible with the Larger ones.
leading in prayer for those whos needs are greater than our own.

Blessings Always.

Proverbs 20 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

20 Wine is a mocker, strong liquor a rowdy;
anyone led astray by it is unwise.

2 The dread of a king is like when a lion roars;
he who makes him angry commits a life-threatening sin.

3 Avoiding quarrels brings a person honor;
for any fool can explode in anger.

4 A lazy person won’t plow in winter;
so at harvest-time, when he looks, there is nothing.

5 The heart’s real intentions are like deep water;
but a person with discernment draws them out.

6 Most people announce that they show kindness,
but who can find someone faithful [enough to do it]?

7 The righteous live a life of integrity;
happy are their children after them.

8 The king seated on his judgment throne
can winnow out all evil with his glance.

9 Who can say, “I have made my heart clean,
I am cleansed from my sin”?

10 False weights and false measures —
Adonai detests them both.
11 The character of even a child is known by how he acts,
by whether his deeds are pure and right.

12 The hearing ear and the seeing eye —
Adonai made them both.

13 If you love sleep, you will become poor;
keep your eyes open, and you’ll have plenty of food.

14 “Really bad stuff!” says the buyer [to the seller];
then he goes off and brags [about his bargain].

15 A person may have gold and a wealth of pearls,
but lips informed by knowledge are a precious jewel.

16 Seize his clothes, because he guaranteed a stranger’s loan;
take them as security for that unknown woman.

17 Food obtained by fraud may taste good,
but later the mouth is full of gravel.

18 After consultation, plans succeed;
so take wise advice when waging war.

19 A gossip goes around revealing secrets,
so don’t get involved with a talkative person.

20 Whoever curses his father or mother —
his lamp will go out in total darkness.

21 Possessions acquired quickly at first
will not be blessed in the end.

22 Don’t say, “I’ll pay back evil for evil”;
wait for Adonai to save you.

23 Adonai detests a double standard in weights,
and false scales are not good.

24 A man’s steps are ordered by Adonai,
so how can a person understand his own ways?

25 It is a snare to dedicate a gift to God rashly
and reflect on the vows only afterwards.

26 A wise king winnows the wicked [from the righteous]
and threshes them under the cartwheel.
27 The human spirit is a lamp of Adonai;
it searches one’s inmost being.

28 Grace and truth preserve a king;
with grace he upholds his throne.

29 The pride of the young is their strength;
the dignity of the old is gray hair.

30 Blows that wound purge away evil,
yes, beatings [cleanse] one’s inmost being.

Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

“He committed no sin,
nor was any deceit found on his lips.”

Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.”

I imagine the man (Moses) sitting there looking from a far off with his heart full of Joy in the Spirit of Knowledge of What is to come.
Just as i do with an expectation of such, that there is no fear in wanting to meet the Lord were He walks the firmament Cloud of mist that covers the Holy ground before His Feet.
Having seen him walk with such a delicate gentle Ruach of Life.
how could a believer ever deny such a Grace.
There is no other than the =Redeemer= for me.

To be honest,
i had thought that there might be more visitors to share in the Word.

How can anyone Hope to begin a humble walk with the Lord and not get to know the very man who supped with him that fateful day.

I was hoping to speak somewhat about his wife, family and relationships.
he is a man after all.

But Moshe fled from Pharaoh to live in the land of Midyan.

One day, as he was sitting by a well, 16 the seven daughters of the priest of Midyan came to draw water. They had filled the troughs to water their father’s sheep, 17 when the shepherds came and tried to drive them away. But Moshe got up and defended them; then he watered their sheep.
18 When they came to Re‘u’el their father,
he said,
“How come you’re back so soon today?”
19 They answered,
“An Egyptian rescued us from the shepherds; more than that, he drew water for us and watered the sheep.”
20 He asked his daughters,
“Where is he? Why did you leave the man there? Invite him to have something to eat.”
