Isaiah 61:1,2 [emphasis added]:
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

Luke 4:18,19,21 quoting the words of Jesus [emphasis added]:
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
.
21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
Jesus likened the source of His power and authority to that of Isaiah. Before His baptism, He had led the exemplary life required of Him (Matthew 3:14), and spent time learning about Himself and His mission (Luke 2:42-49). Once He accepted that mission by being baptised, God was pleased with Him and the Spirit of God (Spirit, Holy Ghost) came upon Him (Matthew 3:17; Matthew 12:17-18; Mark 1:10-1; Luke 3:22).
Changing the water into wine was indeed Jesus’ first miracle. We can deduce that even without being directly told.
