If Pedrito understands correctly, the existence of only one archangel is ever acknowledged in the Bible, despite what church liturgy might state.

That archangel can be found in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 and Jude 1:9.

The name Michael is used of an angelic being in Daniel 10:13, Daniel 10:21, Daniel 12:1, Jude 1:9 and Revelation 12:7.

I believe that it is the Jehovah;s Witnesses that you were thinking of.

If we were to include the Apocrypha, seven archangels are named. Even if we do not, we have to add Gabriel to Michael.
