How often do you think Communion should be served as part of Sunday worship?

The actual practice seems to vary all over the place and is not just a matter of which denomination we're talking about. Some do it weekly, some monthly, some quarterly, and others have another style. So, what seems most correct to you--taking account of every consideration you think appropriate?

The Lutheran Confessions state the we do so weekly. My Lutheran parish does that, each Sunday. Is that required? No... it's a matter of praxis not dogma.

I'd love to have it daily. I know that's not practical and I don't go to church that often, nor is it something my church could offer because of monetary reasons but it would be nice to partake in the Lord's Body and Blood as often as I could.

We do it monthly but if I want it more there is nothing preventing me from doing it myself at home

I have to admit I’m jealous of Catholics for this very reason. Many Catholic parishes provide Mass many days each week.

That's why I was careful to preclude that as an answer to the question asked in the OP. ;)

The bible is not clear on the issue. I believe the key intent of communion is layed out when Jesus said "Do this in remembrance of me." Once a month seems to be common practice in most protestant denominations. However, in order to maintain the original intent of Communion, i believe communion should be practiced as frequently as necessary to make sure we don't forget or take for granted the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross.

My husband's former church did. My husband lived very near the church and I know sometimes his mom would go to mass in the mornings :)

I am not jealous mainly because they have a closed communion unlike most churchs and if I feel the need to have commmunion in between church times then I can administer it myself at home

One thing we haven't directly addressed is the possibility of a church having one service always with Communion and another one in which it is less frequent. I do recognize that this isn't very easy unless the congregation is a large one.

My previous church had 3 services. Saturday evening alternated between Vespers and Holy Communion. The early Sunday service alternated between Matins and Holy Communion (not the same weekend that the Saturday service had communion). And the late Sunday morning service always had Holy Communion. I liked those options and enjoyed the variations in services if I chose to attend different days or times.
