Yup.
Of course that has nothing to do with The Roman Catholic denomination or any Christians who are officially registered in congregations owned and operated by the Roman Catholic denomination/corporations.
Yes, I think it was said way back in post#3 ??
Here, I'll re-quote the similar portion, so we're up to date....
→→Its dishonest to point to the year 45A.D. and 'catholics' in this context, bc it's obvious we're referring to ROMANCatholics, of which there werent any for a long time after the year 45.
For us to have honest dialogue and unite in the faith, (if that is your desire for everyone here, since we're all necessarily assumed to be christians here), then we're going to have to insist on honesty of language.←←
Right? Right.
And why not? That is the reason I say I'm a christian too, although my denomination started in 1906 or so.
Dont be silly. Of course, we're all christians (officially, biblically) when Jesus saves us. What denominations any of us are in dont matter, and there werent any in 45 A.D. anyway.
What Josiah (and some guy named Snerfle way back in post#3) were saying, is 'the references made to the ROMANCATHOLIC denomination as being a christian denomination during the book of Acts or in 45AD are bogus, bc there WAS no RC denom for a few hundred years yet.'
The one TRUE Church, the body of Christ, is made up of the saved, His own, believers, and that has no respect to any denomination or group-label that is used today.
God has His children from every tribe, nation, tongue, and in various church buildings, houses, streets, etc, around the world.
It was the erroneous claim of the OP that it was the Catholic Church, meaning ROMANCatholic denomination, that was supposedly in Acts or in 45 A.D. that we were pointing out and correcting.
(Altough you might make a fun arguement that the Pentecostalz were first, lol) :cheer:
