Is God indifferent about denominations?

Lol I was just reading on a Dutch forum. A girl complained that another girl falsely accused her to the manager. LOL one guy said: oh I had that too. Solve it like a guy. I told him: hey I know you think I'm a jerk and I think the same about you. So lets chill, who cares and have a beer at the cafe. Fabulous! Maybe we need Heineken to get the church united.

No we don't. We just get two merged types of pride.
Revival always comes when people hear the word of God and then repent. We see it in ancient Israel (King Josiah), we see it in the early church (Jerusalem, Antioch and Thessalonica), and we see it in history (The Great Awakening).
Manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit will come after this.
Just bringing two differing spectrums of the church together will not accomplish revival.

Yes I agree, well maybe a combination of the 2. The world will see that the Father sent Jesus when His disciples are one and real unity you only get if ppl repent and put away their pride. There was revival in some country when all those churches started to have united prayer meetings and pastors switched and spoke in each other's church. If ppl aren't focused on God and the harvest you just have flesh, I'm from Paul, I'm from Apollos.

I don't know from Guinness; I think that requires special taste buds. But I absolutely agree about Heineken and have always wondered why people here talk as though it's so wonderful. I don't think they meant to say that it's wonderful if drunk in Europe, so maybe saying what they did is just a way of sounding like a connoisseur of beers.

I struggle with this everyday. My wife and I are members of a Lutheran church and there's a lot we are drawn to it by. Not only within Lutheranism but this particular congregation especially. However I have a strong draw towards Orthodoxy and attend a service or two a week at an Antiochian parish. My wife not so much. There are several similarities between the two like they are both liturgical and sacramental but of course, as most of us know, there are differences too that would not allow them to be in communion with each other. So I'm kind of stuck in the middle trying to get the best of both worlds, which would cause especially the Orthodox priest, to pull more of his already thinning hair out. Lol!

I suspect that you can't always be torn between the two - eventually you must decide. What are the local Catholic churches like?

I'd make a bad Lutheran. I do not like the taste of beers. Wine is okay. But water is best.

There are perfectly fine Catholic congregations in my area but I don’t see me ever agreeing with papal primacy or the immaculate conception.

Same here, nor a whole lot of other Romancatholic teaching as well. (I figure thats the denom you were referring to when you said Catholic?)

I feel bad about it sometimes, bc of family and friends, some nice ppl, but being part of a church has to mean a stand for truth and love (the two really being inseparable), and the fact that theres so much false doctrine and practice that makes it difficult to impossible for all of us to worship together AND be friends/family really grieves me.

Yes, when I capitalize the ‘c’ in Catholic I’m referring to Roman Catholism. When I use the lower case ‘c’ I’m referring to the historic universal church that which was believed everywhere, always and by all. That being said with my leanings towards Orthodoxy (again capitalized) I’m undoubtedly more forgiving of other RC doctrines and practices then then you are.

I sometimes wonder what one of the eastern rites Catholic churches would be like.

PS: I like the immaculate conception - it makes sense of a whole lot of scripture and experience.

We have a Maronite parish and I think their liturgy is one of my favorite liturgies. Also the consecration of the elements in Aramaic is very special.
