Yeah they thought the apostles were drunk LOL but they use that text to say everything goes. Some went too far. One preacher was just laying on the floor on the street here after a meeting and they put a bottle of wine next to him and made a pic. That's just mocking. And always this 'I'm drunk in the Spirit', why say drunk?? Those ppl who said that about the apostles were mocking. Why on earth do it too and call being filled w the Holy Spirit being drunk? I haven't followed it for years anymore, but I saw one weirdo say he was high on the Holy Spirit, like taking a joint. Ehmm nope. I believe you can experience joy of the Lord, but a movie like Josiah posted, it's weird. And Rodney said to that Bam guy w the tattoos that he shouldn't tell ppl that angel visited him, no, I stay away from that stuff. Toronto had great stuff, God really touched me, but Derek Prince said there was mixture and they didnt test anything. I never saw barking dogs there but lately I saw it on a video from the beginning and it made me think of that text, although it doesn't make sense, cause they did bark.

His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

I find Acts 2 and holy laughter a far stretch too. You can't see it in the Bible. You can see God spins around for joy though and Sarah laughed and Isaac means laughter.

Not saying it always is though. My mother got sick in Toronto cause they forgot their Visa card so they had no cent and couldnt rent a car and noone gave em a lift, they had to walk to church in the winter in Canada. She was so sick and afterwards she started shaking. She first thoughy it was from God and asked Carol Arnott. Yes hear says Carol, of course thats God. Well she still shakes and its that shake disease, don't know how they call it.
What I hated about Toronto is that they gave the podium to a psychiater. For goodness sakes, that guy who invented that was a satanist and they kept pushing me I had to go to a psychiater and get pills, bunch of unbelievers. It ruined my life.

It wasn't bad. She just couldn't believe it. I get the idea God found it funny too. He didn't rebuke her.

I heard someone at church preach that we may look silly or drunk in church but its better than being silly and drunk in public lol I agree, we know we'll make it home safe and know what happened the night before when we wake up.

That's all well and good but doesn't address the issue of whether this "holy laughter" is actually anything to do with God. If, as I believe, "holy laughter" is nothing to do with God your preacher is saying little more than "it's better to be poked in the eye than kicked in the unmentionables". Perhaps it is, but that doesn't mean you'd choose it.

Your comment is just modern day relativism being applied to God. It's postmodernism being couched for the church.

No matter how much you believe the sun revolves around the earth, it doesn't make it reality.

I can say for sure that the holy laughter movement comes from spirits not associated with God the Holy Spirit.

Postmodern thought says that there is no right or wrong. What you feel is right for you and what someone else feels is right for them. Thus no one is right and no one is wrong because the individual determines their own values.

We could go to an entirely secular gig, experience the emotional high from the music and the atmosphere, claim God was at work, and then use reasoning like this to say that because we believe it's God then it is God for us.

I'm not sure what this has to do with it?

I was just saying that the reason this is "weird" is because its grown adults, however if I remember in elementary school the whole classroom including the teacher having laughing fits, hence become as youth again. Perhaps to ease your mind you could use your stern adult mind and tell this people that laughing is ok but not to worship, tell em its heresy because Almighty God is not the author of joy but of heresy charges and repetitive rituals and traditions. Why do you care? Unless you go on a crusade to defeat them you are only judging others.
