My daughter's bulldog is childish. I guess that's the best way to describe her because she acts like a toddler who needs attention, fights a nap and is goofy.
I've heard from "dog experts" that bulldogs are among the best breeds when it comes to companionship and cuddliness, even though their fierce look makes people think it's the opposite.

This really appears to be true! Whenever the bulldog encounters someone, she rolls onto her back for belly rubs! People are taken by surprise by this action since she's really ferocious looking.
Loving and appreciative, but independent. My puss enjoys the food and shelter I provide her, and she is often ready to show this in the form of affection or bringing me "gifts", but is also not one to stay inside too often - preferring to retain her outside skills when it suits her and stay inside when it doesn't.
