I wish that I had an option to opt out of political ads being shown on regular tv. What about you?

Now, I know I can go to YouTube or other types of channels that don't show ads, but there are some programs I enjoy watching on regular tv. It's just that I have to either mute the tv when those ads come on, or walk out of the room.

Why don't I want to view the ads?

Because they're complete nonsense. It's just about bashing the opponent. I'm sick of that.

I avoid political ads on TV quite easily. There's the handy button that says OFF on it.

On a marginally more serious note I don't even have cable TV. I don't feel like paying that kind of money to have ever more garbage piped into my home. The TV purveyors need me more than I need them.

We use to live in Iowa and it was worse than it is here in Texas. Up there we had at least a full year of it.

What we do with political ads and ads in general is hit the mute button on the remote. At least then we don't have to listen to them.

I don't have this problem because I haven't owned a working television in many years. However, if I did, I'd simply record whatever I liked so I could speed through any commercials.

"I'd just like to see a few more campaign ads and then I'll be ready to decide how to vote" - nobody, ever.
