My neighbours love to party. I’ve had to call the cops on them twice to have them stop putting loud rock and roll music starting midnight to 4-5 am every Friday night. I’m glad they no longer do that at midnight but they still put on very loud music from around 7-8 pm to 9-10 pm every Friday evening. Why do you have to let everyone else know that you’re partying? I suffer from emotional distress with loud noises and am highly stressed out with them too with many other mental disabilities to cope with daily that noise pollution ain’t necessary for me personally.

Loud neighbors can definitely be annoying. Can you find some sound quieting ear plugs to help you block out the noise?

I had a friend at university who had noisy neighbors. They'd often party until 2am, keeping her awake.

She got her revenge. It left her exhausted for a few days but made the point. The nights they were up late, she set her alarm for 6am and immediately turned her music on loud. Naturally they complained bitterly - being tired and hung over from their party - but she just said how they had had their party and now she was partying and they could deal with it, just like they expected her to deal with their parties.

After a couple of weeks of that they got the hint and toned it down.

Tango, that's brilliant, lol. Good for her.

I'm someone who LOVES loud things. Loud music, loud movies, thunderous bass. But I am very mindful of people around me. If I were back in an apartment setting, I would not engage in super loud anything, unless it were through headphones. Just common courtesy.

Bear in mind that nobody is responsible for YOUR sensitivities or mental issues, except you. You say your neighbors reduced their loud partying from 4-5 hours through the middle of the night, to about 2 hours during more normal evening hours. That's pretty decent of them. I'd be thankful.

I remember a time I lived next to a very noisy neighbor who was not only inconsiderate but actively so (enough so that many people found him objectionable). I particularly enjoyed my revenge, when I had chance to replace my dead speakers. He didn't know I had bought new speakers. He also didn't know that I liked death metal. The next time he played his music too loud he discovered both of those things. He never did that again.....

I have an issue with loud constant sound or noise. One thing that makes super loud partying neighbors a bit easier to deal with, besides a set of BOSE noise cancelling headphones, is the satisfaction of hangover karma. People who party loud, drink hard. Come the A.M. when they sober up, they'll feel miserable, likely be hugging the porcelain telephone more than once, and will feel lousy for the rest of the day. And loud noises will be the last thing they want to deal with.
Which is why a pair of speakers pointed out the window facing party neighbor, and a stereo that cycles Christian music CD's for hours, the day after loud neighbor party, is a beautiful thing set to repeat all four CD's, while I'm at work.

I’ve had to call the cops on them once again as they’ve started to party at midnight tonight.

I think the issue is that Naiwen likely has a very different idea of what constitutes loud music than what most people would due to her conditions. I highly suggest getting noise canceling headphones or ear plugs that block out the sound as it would be a lot more simpler than trying the way you are going. We don't even know if they are really playing loud music as an average person would hear it as Naiwen's conditions probably make her have a lower threshold for sound than the average person. It might not even be that loud for the average person so we can't really say for sure if the people are jerks or it just looks that way because of how Naiwen perceives the volume of their music.

This is entirely possible but frankly if I could hear a neighbor's music at all in the small hours of the morning I'd be annoyed.

During the day there's a lot of scope to discuss the point at which "loud" becomes "too loud" and in turn becomes "antisocially loud" but if we're talking about 3am the acceptable bounds have got to be a whole lot lower. Even if the music is only audible if you lie still and listen that's still an issue because when you're trying to sleep you're lying still, even if not actively listening for noise.
