Why is he called the HOLY Spirit?

I do not think that Wisdom 1:5 is the earliest use of "Holy Spirit" and if you count "Spirit of Holiness" as equivalent (I am not sure that it is equivalent) then the title may go back as far as Moses.

By the way, since spirits are neither male nor female the question should be: Why is the Spirit of God called Holy?

Maybe we should 'ask a pastor' before we start arguing over why the Spirit of God is Holy if its not a male or female... srsly lol these threads get pretty interesting quick just saying...
