Why does Eastern Orthodox Church accept 3 Maccabees and Catholic doesn’t?

Some Protestant in the 16th Century went to all Christian churches and ripped out that book from every Bible... then put the the (defaced) Bibles back in the pew racks. In the East, they noticed and scotch taped the pages back in but no one in the West gave a rip and just let it be.
