In the holy scriptures God asks "Whom shall I send?" and Isaiah replies "Send me". In the history of God's revelation who is sent? Angles, prophets, priests, kings, even a pagan king was sent. So what is to be made of claims today about a man or a woman being sent by God?

Like the Father sent Me I send you. He wants to send everyone. Especially the ones that don't let everyone know they're sent can be sent.

Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.

God can use a donkey to do things...He wants us to spread the Good News. It's not just restricted to certain individuals. That's a different thing than everyone being called to preach before a congregation though.

I had that as a text when I tried to convert a bunch of atheists on a forum. If God can use a donkey He can use me.
Pretty sure, looking back, He didn't send me there though LOL. I did get the troll of the year award though. The donkey did a better job.

Oh that reminds me of the time a bunch of CF staff went to visit an Atheist forum while we were on Skype. We must have looked like a bunch of kooks! It was all in fun though since they admittedly trolled CF LOL

Trolling atheists is not a good plan.

On another forum we had a troll who wouldn't leave and everyone would say: watch out, don't feed the troll!
Hey the Bible says if someone asks for food you should feed them. They did not agree. I had a dream of a troll then. I gave him a hamburger and he loved it.

I like that.... reminds me of my fave miracle - when Jesus uses a spitball to perform a great miracle. I figure if Jesus can use a spitball, maybe He can use me?

I like the idea that ALL of us are apostles ("sent ones") - not Apostles (that office of 13) but apostles. Believers with "GO" as our directive. And yes, as Lamm said, that doesn't mean all have a certain OFFICE in a congregation, but it does mean we are ministers, apostles, sent one called to GO and DO His will, building His Kingdom (rather than just our own).
