Maybe, but free elections may be a thing of the past by then.

The last election where I thought that the people had a choice between two competent leaders with different visions was 1980’s Carter vs Reagan (Both had proven themselves as governors, were men of personal integrity and differed on their vision of what needed to be done to fix what was wrong). Since then, we have largely had elections of “hold your nose and vote for the lesser evil” that leaves one wondering if these are really the two best candidates in a country of over 300 million people.

Since we have become a nation that cannot comprehend a concept as simple and fundamental as “male and female”, it would seem that we - as a nation - have the leadership that we deserve. What real difference which “inmate” is running the asylum … the point is that THE INMATES ARE RUNNING THE ASYLUM!

there arose another generation after them who did not know the LORD” … “and everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” - the lesson from Judges (relevant to our time and nation).

Hopefully.
.
I think it almost unimaginable that Joe Biden would seek another 4 years. I doubt his health would support it and leading an organization as diverse as the Democratic Party must be like “herding cats across a river” … something that no one would want to do twice. ;)

Let us just hope that the primaries can yield something better than Harris vs Trump … sadly, that is EXACTLY my prediction. Biden will not seek re-election for health reasons. VP Harris will be the logical Democratic candidate. Trump supporters will carry him through the primaries as the Republican candidate.

Oh yes. That's true, but it is nowhere near as significant as what's happened recently. As other commentators have noted, now we have rigged elections, candidates ruled off the ballot as a way of defeating that other party, efforts to rescind the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, do away with the Electoral College, pack the Supreme Court, and simply flood the mails with absentee ballots whether or not anyone requested one or needed one or the addressee even lives at that address. We have never seen these developments before in our history.

No, I think there is good reason not to throw in the towel by saying that "they're all crooks, so what difference does it make." Freedom is always important and we once had it, even with some dubious characters holding public office.

I don't think we should have a next election. We need to kick the imposter out of the WH and put in the rightful winner, Trump. Then let him run things for the next 4 years, after negating every law signed under the imposter (really imposters, many in Congress too). Lets take it back and find out past stole elections and start tossing the illegitimately appointed justices off of courts and so on. When a guy robs a jewelry store and is caught, they don't let him keep the stolen goods.

You know. "They" (hint, hint, wink wink)
They.

No I don't. That is why I asked. Who is they? Hint and wink doesn't answer my question.

Yep. I read the other day about a former congressman pleading guilty to ballot stuffing (not in the last election though?). So we know it happens even though the media says it doesn't.

There have been a number of election irregularities documented and people convicted of election fraud since the 2020 election. Remember how, a year or so ago, the standard reply to the suggestion that there had been some election fraud in 2020 was almost always that there was "none, period. "

Yep. They kept insisting it was all legit and every time something gets exposed, the media doesn't want to cover it.

I don't put my faith in a political party or man. But we should not be surprised that this is the case we are living in the end times and the devil is running out of time to cause chaos before the Lord returns.

We've been in the End Times since Jesus ascended into heaven.

The one thing there about which I am most certain is that Harris will not be the Dem nominee in 2024. Doing that would be to guarantee defeat.

History question:

When was the last time the VP was not the candidate in the next election?

President - VP
Carter - Mondale
Reagan - Bush
Bush - Quayle
Clinton - Gore
Bush - Cheney (did not seek election)
Obama - Biden
Biden - Harris

… so it will be Biden or Harris if either of them wants the DNC ticket in 2024.

This VP is not one of the "usuals." Not in any respect.

They impeach Biden, Harris moves up to be president and Pelosi becomes VP, then Pelosi runs for president in 2024.
