What's the best meal for the cold?

As the weather gets colder (especially over here in the UK where it's also raining a lot), we prefer to stay at home from time to time and tuck into a nice warm meal or drink. But what is your favourite food or drink for the cold weather? Do you like to drink some hot soup? And do you tend to change up what you eat normally when it gets colder?

Beef stewm pot pie, ham and bean soup, meatloaf

Yeah, beef stew. Accompanied by a large glass of good Scotch and a beautiful woman.

Makes winter wonderful.

Anything warm. In the summertime we try not to run the oven at all unless we really need it, but in the winter having the oven on adds a little warmth to the house. The kitchen gets cold - there's an issue with the outside wall that we can't fix without ripping apart most of the kitchen, so it's good to have a bit of extra heat moving around.
