What would you include if you were building a new house?

A couple of electrical circuits, completely disconnected from your normal power, and ran to a place outside where you would have a generator.

Place the outlets and switches in places of importance. Refrigerator, freezzar, computer, water well, etc. You can make those receptacles and switches a different color indicating they are generator fed only.

Most won't do it, but it makes life so much easier when power goes out.

We love our generator!! So I agree and will never have another house without it.

I also need a basement to take refuge in when there are tornado warnings.
