since we all have clocks in our operating systems why do we keep telling other people what time it is?

We do it because we live in different time zones. For me, it is nice to know what time you have in Australia when you post. For instance your time above of 8:04. We don't know whether you posted in the A.M. or P.M. since you did not say, I think it was A.M.. The Forum time was 7:04 P.M. That is why when I post, I post time, whether I am posting in the A.M. or P.M. and my time zone, like this...
