-2 Peter 2:4

I don’t remember reading about this in my Old Testament. What book of the Bible is Peter referencing?

Did he hear it from Jesus? I think he spent some time with him.

It sounds to me like the book of Enoch.

it was probably more likely verbal tradition at the time rather than something written down

Although there are several prophetic references in the Old Testament, knowing that Peter and the other disciples were unlearned, he probably wrote from what Jesus told the 12:

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Jude echos the same thing:

Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

I think it's safe to assume that Jesus mentioned that fallen angels more than once during his ministry, but it's only recorded in Matthew.
