The way they tell the story is annoying. It's time jumps between the past and the present and does not follow the games at all. I don't want to spoil anything, but it's 2036 I believe, and they're not past the T-Virus and an infected dog.
I don't mind time jumps if you let the viewer know which time period you're in. Also, they didn't need it in this show. They could have easily covered the past in an episode or two and spent the rest of the time in the present. It gets a little better towards the end and I believe Netflix has optioned at least 5 seasons. But if ratings don't improve, I doubt we'll see a second season. IMDB rates it at 3.8 out of 10 and Rotten Tomatoes has it at 25.
