Windscribe seems to have a lot of server issues lately. I tend to get the random speed with the VPN lately. So I get good speed on the desktop but the Phone based app seems to be pretty slow. Also the speed varies based on the time of the day. I guess at this rate I may have to make use of the NordVPN which is lot better on that context. I hope to switch to it in near future.

I don't use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) most of the time. Occasionally, I'll use open-source software or app to protect my identity online, but that would be the only reason why. Hotspot Shield is good, but the data limitations unless you upgrade are a drawback.

I use ExpressVPN. It is a paid one. I mainly use it to watch tv shows I can't get otherwise. There are a couple of Canadian shows I watch so am able to set myself in Canada so I can watch them. I also use it for sports teams I am blacked out from.
