I started using an insulin pump in June of this year. It has been an interesting transition and overall had better numbers. The one problem I seem to have is that I have trouble sometimes finding a good site to put the infusion set which is moved every three days. I have to change out the insulin and add the 180 units of insulin for the three days and then change the site. Sometimes it seems I just don't get good absorption and have to give myself a manual shot. Tonight was one of those nights where my blood sugar has stayed high. Last check it was 290 that's with a insulin shot.
My target is 110 and I have been averaging around 160 the last week or so.
