Let's return to Genesis. Because of man, the whole world fell into sin. Because of one man (Jesus the Christ) the atonement was made for sin. God is loving and of course includes all in His death and forgiveness. To say not all changes God's love for the world John 3:16 and His character.

Not at all. Those in Adam have his sin imputed to them. Those in Christ have his righteousness imputed to them (Romans 5; 2 Cor 5:21).

God desires that all sinners to be saved (He doesn't say they will be) 2 Peter 3:9. If His atonement, as you say, was only for some, God is a liar because then He didn't truly desire for all to be saved. His plan of salvation covered the world since the entire world fell into it. To those who don't want His forgiveness, He allows them to turn away.
