One does not need a prophet (or somebody who claims to be a prophet) to know that Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump are walking a razor's edge and that both men are dangers to the safety and lives of millions.

Frankly, I think that North Korean is just a childish bully..... who likes to see people tremble and think he's important.

I've found often the best way to deal with bullies is not tremble or think they are important. Consider Chamberlin with Hitler and how his appeasement might well have brought about WW 2, compare with Reagan and Gorbachov and how
Reagons "tough stand" not only ended the Cold War but played a role in the end of the Communist block. Consider the Obama keep trembling every time this worthless idiot did or said anything, giving him money and begging him to leave us alone - and each time, North Korea was empowered and did more. Trump says one thing.... and he backed down (sadly, his Secretary of State proceeded to then tell the North Koreas that Trump doesn't mean what he says). I don't want war with anyone..... and I'm pretty such this hack doesn't either (a war he OBVIOUSLY can't win).... he wants to say "BOO" and make all those powerful people tremble and bow before him.

That's how I see it..... claiming no expertise in this complicated region of the world (never lived in Korea).

It's clear Kim Jong-un can't possibly win a war in the conventional military sense. But if he were able to wage a cyber war the results could be very different. A conventional war would almost certainly result in Pyongyang being turned into a wasteland but a cyber war could potentially mean targets in the US being hit without any North Korean assets leaving their bases.

To give just one example, what happens if the power in the US goes out and stays out for a month because hackers managed to get in and shut everything down, or cause an overload big enough to fry crucial infrastructure? Even if the power is only out for, say, 72 hours where does that leave most of the nation? If the air conditioning is out in summer and the fridge doesn't work, now what? What if your boiler/furnace doesn't work in the winter because it doesn't have the power to ignite the burners? If you don't have an alternative heat source (e.g. something that simply burns, like wood or similar) it's going to get pretty cold. Now instead of 72 hours imagine power being gone for a week or two. If hackers can take out key infrastructure the priority is going to be getting cities back on the grid - people living in more remote areas are likely to be further down the priority list.

I suspect the impeachment time is approaching; even the Republicans in congress are peeved with Donald now. But then the idea of Mike Pense as USA president comes to mind and people get all queasy. Is Mike Pense really so horrible that Donald is preferable?

Pedrito discovered this area of CH (Politics) by accident.

He would never have thought it could be so entertaining.

It’s fun to watch MoreCoffee pressing people’s buttons and seeing them react.

Watching from the side, it’s so obvious that he is having a lend of them.

Pedrito apologises to MoreCoffee for spilling the beans.
