Another question for those LCMS posters in the know. I just saw something VERY weird on Lester Holt’s Nightly News. They had a story about UFOs and showed video footage of them. They were cone shaped. I also watched a video about this online...I think it was shown on the Today Show where an object flew, dipped into the ocean, split and then disappeared.
It’s said the Pentagon in investigating.

I’ve never believed in UFOs or being visited by life from other planets but after seeing this, I’m not so sure.
@Josiah, IF life would be found on another planet, would the LCMS acknowledge it?
Does life in outer space fit with the Bible or does the Bible and LCMS not allow for the possibility of life on other planets?

An impossible question to answer.

But I suspect, if it's proven there is life on another planet, the LCMS would not quote anything in the Lutheran Confessions that contradicts that. But it's IMPOSSIBLE to answer "what if's"

Is there anything in the Lutheran Confessions or Bible that contradicts this?

Even if there was extraterrestrial life, it would not in any way contradict what God has said to us about our sin and need of a Savior.

Lämmchen is correct. God selected the human race with whom to develop a special relationship so that a special purpose He had could be fulfilled. That purpose, though clearly revealed in Scripture, seems to be unknown to most of Christendom. But if anyone is interested enough and game enough (to investigate outside normal denominational constraints), he or she will be able to put the relevant scriptures together and find something wonderful.

Any non-human intelligent beings that may exist, whatever their origin may be (in the whole universe), have no part in that arrangement. It was mankind that disobeyed God, and it was for humanity that Jesus died.

I believe the UFOs and aliens are simply the deceptions of demons. There is a book on it for those interested in digging deeper: Alien Intrusion
