Something we all struggle with. I know some view this as impossible due to our sinful nature. How do you interpret it?

Heidi Baker let a homeless woman slam her head to a wall all the time. Then another homeless guy who first didn't like her helped her. The next day the homeless woman said sorry and brought her flowers. She said: no problem, she just needed a little bit of inner healing.
If I'm on that level? Hmmm I'm glad noone checked it out yet.
My ex used to be very aggressive before he got saved and then he was evangelizing and God warned him: don't talk to that homeless woman, so he didn't. The other guy he was with did it though and she hit him, but he stayed nice and friendly. It was years ago. My ex said that he thought God warned him, because it wouldn't be such a great testimony if he hit her back. Do you want to know Jesus? Bam! What? Bam! I can hit harder.

There are a great many things we can forgive and then move on as if nothing happened, turning the other cheek.

It's when dealing with dangerous people that we need to have some common sense and put up healthy boundaries to protect ourselves. We are made in God's image and to purposely put ourselves in danger where an abusive ex has threatened to kill us and then we go appear before him to let him do it is disrespect to God (we are created in His image).

God is perfect and perfectly forgives. He perfectly forgets. We are in the process of being perfected and it's okay to put up healthy boundaries while trying to live on this sinful planet.
