I have a Samsung phone and have been struggling to learn how to cut down a video that is over half an hour long to much shorter. I can't seem to email it to myself because the file is so long. I've tried to add it to google drive and it doesn't download from my phone. So, I'm stuck and not sure what to do. I have downloaded a video editor, but I have never used one of these before and having trouble using it. Any suggestions?

Connect your phone to your computer... via USB. And access your phone's storage through the Windows Explorer (assuming). Then just save it to a folder on your computer's hardrive..

This is what I had to do with my phone. I had an old Samsung S3 and connected it to my computer to save all my videos and photos when I got my new phone because nothing would transfer since my old phone was way too old for the transfer software.

If your computer doesn't immediately FIND the phone you can right click on the window icon and click File Explorer and then scroll down on the left side to find your phone. From there you can look at the folders and find your video. Right click and drag and drop to copy to a new folder.

I finally go the video moved to my computer, though it took quite a while to find the file once I put the phone on the USB. Then, I had to upload it to another site so a trainer could look at it. It was a 33 minute video so it was quite a big file. Fortunately, now they have it.

Either, connect your phone to USB to a computer and if you don't have a PC, try using a public one at the Library. Open up Windows Movie Maker or Movie Maker and trim the video that way. Once done, you can move the file onto your phone or wherever you please.
