Trading Spaces

Has anyone seen the new Trading Spaces? Were you a fan of the old series? My daughter and I used to love it but Hildi was so ridiculous with some of her designs that weren't respectful of anyone's home and how normal people live. She was going for a reaction.

I'm watching some of the old ones again on TLC and there were designs I could not stand back when they were originally on and now I don't mind them so much!

My feeling about Hildys work is about the same as yours. Overall, I liked the show back in the day, but now it looks rather ridiculous compared with all the remodeling shows that have come on the air since. I kind of wonder if the remake of Trading Spaces--with a new and unfamiliar cast of decorators--has much of a chance of succeeding. On the other hand, some of these lesser cable channels dont need many viewers in order to be successful by their own standards.

I watch very little television anymore. Mainly I read or play online games or go take a nap. I think I may have seen that series about 5 or 6 years ago but nothing recent

I watched an old one yesterday and remembered a designer that didn't return for the reunion...probably the only black designer they had on the show and her name was Kia. Her son is around 10ish now so I wonder if it's because of him she chose not to return?
