Just have to say I am really tired of all the presidential election coverage. I have seen enough. The arguing going on between the two of them is ridiculous already. They are like little children who can't stop hitting each other. I am so sick of it. I am just going to vote absentee from the comfort of my home and hopefully come the end of November this nonsense will be over with. Anyone else tired of it?:argue:

For the most part I try to tune out the unpleasant noise that is politics and focus instead on matters of actual importance and consequence. The only thing I ask from politics is that it stays out of the way of progress. It is a shame though that so much energy is wasted on politics.

I simply never watch News, tv nor read Newspapers. Okay it is a bit stupid but I'm always happy.

If you stopped watching the news, listened to the radio only once a day or maybe twice a day for news, and read books or did things outside then both candidates would seem less grotesque.

I have stopped watching the news for the past week or so. The thought of watching them again sickens me.

The local world news isn't as bad as CNN and all the cable shows.

I'm sick of it all and also the ads on tv. I don't watch a lot of tv but it's awful having to see during each break the political ads. I should get TIVO again so I can skip through all that.

I don't watch T.V. - and I've not bothered with debates. I did check out Trump a little, but as usual, both candidates are equally uninspiring to me - so I haven't really been paying attention enough to be tired of it.

Speaking of grown adults acting like spoiled rotten children seeking to tear each other down, most of the time Aussie politics is very similar. Most Aussies I know consider the political slamming and grandstanding as a national embarrassment.

I'm increasingly wishing they would allow third parties into the debate. It seems that Gary Johnson is within the margin of error of the 15% figure and in the interest of completeness maybe they should allow Jill Stein to debate as well. Otherwise, as you say, it's like Tweedledum and Tweedledummer bickering while we all lose.

It really does give lots of credence to the saying that the best way to make a politician work is to not elect them.

I seen a anti Trump ad yesterday sponsored by Hillary lol. As much as they can be annoying, I refuse to vote for Gary Johnson lol.

Well Gary refused to call those who enter the US in an illegal manner illegal immigrants, and he insisted that be called undocumented immigrants. And why exactly are they undocumented lol, because they didn't enter in a legal manner. :1zhelp:

Your first point isn't a reason not to vote for anyone, unless there is a candidate whose positions align perfectly with your own. I'll hazard a guess that you'll disagree with some of the positions of all the candidates.

The wasted vote idea is all well and good but the trouble with that is it merely perpetuates the badly broken two party system. The only way a third party is ever going to become viable is if the people who say a third party vote is wasted and fall into line behind the major party they dislike the least, actually decide to take a stand and vote for a third party. Whether it's the libertarians or the greens or whoever else, until people start to support them nothing will ever change.

One thing that would be awesome would be if people who know each other and trust each other, but who vote for opposing major parties, would be willing to make a pact that they will both vote third party if neither likes the candidate their own party has chosen. That way both sides can vote third party knowing a voter who would normally support the other major party is doing the same and thereby neutralising the effect of the so-called "wasted vote".
