You can vote by mail? That's handy. Then I would vote too. I never vote because it's too much fuzz.

If you are an American anyway. In some locals, you can ONLY vote by mail.

Now, in California, decades ago, you had to ask for this EVERY TIME - and you had to give some reason (I'm too lazy to go to the polls worked - ALL reasons were accepted as a matter of law) but you had to fill that out every time. But I think for as long as I've been alive, you can just ask the County Register of Voters to make you a permanent mail voter. Then, automatically, thte ballot is sent a month or so ahead and you just have to be sure it gets back to that County office on or before election day. About a third of Americans vote this way - about half in California - but the rules and proceedures vary by state and county.

I do have to pay for a stamp this way (TWO of 'em in this election!!!) but I want to take my time..... I want to be careful..... I want to do this at MY convenience rather than racing home from work and standing in a long line.... So I do it by mail.

One can vote by mail in Australia. Or vote early at an early vote polling place.
