I read it with God teaching me. I never open the book without first asking for His Presence, His opening up of my mind to what He has in store for me. I want to see the way He sees things, what He thinks about things, and how He wants me to do better in my own life. I read all the stories like I was there with God watching over the walk of the people portrayed in scripture, what they went through, were thinking, and what they were dealing with and how God worked with them. God opens up my mind to see, hear, and understand in amazing ways. I have seen words lift off the pages and the implications within my own life striking me with convictions, inspirations, and praise and gratitude.
