He claims that Luther was the one who created spin offs for other denominations. That isn't true though! SO much for him knowing history. There were other people prior to Luther who wanted reform in the church and they had their own beliefs that were slightly different than Luther's. It's just so easy to place blame on Luther and draw attention away from the fact of what the Roman Catholic church was doing at the time that was harmful to Christianity.

I do not think that he said that. It sounded to me that he said that Luther was okay with it for a little while at the beginning and then was not okay with it later.

That isn't true though! SO much for him knowing history. There were other people prior to Luther who wanted reform in the church and they had their own beliefs that were slightly different than Luther's. It's just so easy to place blame on Luther and draw attention away from the fact of what the Roman Catholic church was doing at the time that was harmful to Christianity.

I am sure he got his statements about the availability of the bible in German wrong. The bible was available in German, Italian, Spanish, English, Polish, and a number of other languages before 1517 and in printed editions after the invention of moveable metal type in the fifteenth century.
