The beach we go to is a little over 12 hours away. The closer one is about 11 1/2 hours away or so.The beach is about 15 Km away from my humble abode

We have had a problem with our well pump and the service guys are here now. It's 12 degrees F...so cold. It went out Saturday night before the deep cold, so it's probably just an old pump.

My husband (who isn’t Catholic but goes to Mass with me on Christmas and Easter) and I are meeting a friend of mine on Christmas Eve for Mass, then we’re having our Honey Baked Ham and sides for dinner. We might go out to look at some lights. Our daughter is out of town at her in-laws so we’ll have our Christmas celebration with her, her husband and our grandkids this weekend.
NYE is always a stay-at-home affair with cold boiled shrimp, salad and garlic bread. Then we watch movies (When Harry Met Sally) and hubby falls asleep before midnight but I’ll still be up.

It's just the two of us for a couple of days and I'm making homemade ravioli with homemade sauce, homemade meatballs and garlic bread and the next day is my husband's birthday. I'll be baking a cheesecake for him. Then our daughter will be here with her bulldog. I'll probably make chicken tortellini soup for her
