I was just a kid last time I went through SF. We lived in L.A and would drive up the coast to see family up in Seattle. I do remember the Golden Gate Bridge though.

Great.

I bought an Aloe Vera plant today, on all the good I've heard about it, and on the information that it is one of the best natural air cleaners around. Now I learn that it is mildly toxic to cats and dogs. Sigh. Well, it's current resting place should keep it out of pusskin's reach...

My cat is old but still very frisky, and she likes high places. Hanging it from a hook is a good idea though...although I still need a way to collect water since it's an inside plant and needs well drained soil.

Aloe Vera is also very good for burns, including sunburn. It's really bad for cats, don't know about dogs. I think it's more than mildly toxic to cats. We got rid of our aloe plant when we got the cat. Hard to know where we could keep it that we could be sure he'd never get at.

Hmm.

Maybe I'll keep it outside. There are other plants that are good air cleaners and I'll have to investigate a little more to find one that won't endanger the physical welfare of my cat.

The info I read was that they can develop diarrhea, vomiting and depression from munching on Aloe Vera. The raw plant that is.

I might have a late start in the morning if the snow keeps falling. It's pretty but bad driving weather right now. How was everyone's day?
