The Day of Atonement

We have the fall feast that yet to be fulfilled like the spring time feasts were fulfilled with Yeshua coming the first time. Hidden in the ceremonies are the keys to fulfillment of Revelation. There was a 3 1/2 year ministry before the spring feasts found their fulfillment in Yeshua. We have in Revelation two witnesses doing a 3 1/2 year ministry before then end time are over. We have yet to have the fall feasts fulfilled by Yeshua.

Because the Day of Atonement was a day of sacrifice, the high priest’s white linen robe was soon spattered with blood. To atone for his own sins, he sacrificed a bull before the Lord. Then to atone for the sins of the nation, the high priest took two kid goats and cast lots to determine their fate. Depending on how the lots fell, one of the goats was sacrificed as a sin offering for the nation. When this sacrificial goat was appointed, the high priest pronounced, “For Jehovah,” and the throngs of worshipers would fall on their faces and call out, “Blessed be the Name; the glory of His kingdom is forever and ever.” Then the goat was slain. Those two goats were identical, Satan is represented by one of the goats and Jesus by the other. Satan will perform the greatest imitationof Jesus' second coming that if it were possible it would deceive even the elect.

The other goat, known as the Azazel, or scapegoat, became a second picture of national atonement. First the high priest symbolically placed the sins of the nation on the head of the live goat. He did this by laying both of his hands on the goat’s head while confessing the sins of the people. Then, with the sins of the people on the head of the goat, the high priest sent the Azazel off into the wilderness. There will come a day when the sanctuary in heaven is cleansed, that all the sins of the world will be placed on Satan's head and he will be thrown into the bottomless pit. It was a dramatic picture of God’s willingness to separate His people from their sins.

During the Day of Atonement, then the books were opened in heaven, the transgression were blotted out, and the conscience was purged and "should have no more conscience of sins". Does this mean that if it works like a computer getting purged of a program that we want no more on it, it is erased from the memory bank never to return? If that is so, then because we remember our sins, those that Jesus forgave us for, they have yet to be blotted out. I need verses that show the Day of Atonement was not done away with at the cross as so many Christians would like to throw the baby out with the bathwater. The value of the ceremonial fall feast are but a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ. Col 2:17

The fall feasts will be fulfilled no matted if people wanrt to do away with them or not. Everything is tied to the feasts.

You know, so many people in Yeshua's day missed out on what was happening around them in the fulfillment of the spring feasts that we might be in the same predicament with the fall feasts. The appointed times and rehearsals found in the fall feasts tell a story.

It takes two witnesses to spot the new moon and start the feast of trumpets. Lo and behold, the two witnesses are found in Revelation 11. So many people look for the trumpets to sound, either years ago, or that we are in the midst of them. Rev 10 says that the scroll has to be eaten first before it unfolds in real events.

I agree so many do not want to hear anything of the Jewishness or of the feasts.

When did the glory come? The glory is the Lord coming suddenly to His Temple in the seventh month. The Day of Atonement is in the seventh month, this is when the High Priest is to minister in the most Holy Place

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, behold the bridegroom cometh; go out to meet him.

In Genesis the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat. The name "Ararat" means "the curse is reversed". In each of these examples, you can see the Lord working according to His appointed time, and in these cases it is always in the seventh month. If we are wise we would realize that it is going to happen again right during the time of no buy or sell.

Those that are prepared for the day when it happens will recognize what they are to do about it. Those that are not prepared, are scrabbling to find out, they are even asking those that they refused to listen to before to tell them, but time has run out. It is interesting that they are told to go buy from them that sell at this time. Does this not place it at the time when you can not go out and buy or sell unless you have the mark? As scripture says

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

I can see that at the same time,

another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God; and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea to hurt not until we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

This will be the time when

"there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribe of Israel"

and

"a great multitude that no man can number" clothed with white robes."

Afterwards came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said;

verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor hour wherein the son of man cometh.

So what where does God come in preparing His people but to their mind.

"Rise up and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein."

All those outside in the outer court are treading on the Holy City and the two witnesses are now upon the scene giving them a taste of the plaques to see if there is any who will yet repent. There is a time when there is a coming of the Lord to His Temple is you and your mind. There is only one time that the High Priest goes into the most holy. So be silent before God, for the day will come when He will dwell in your mind in all His awesome glory.
