Yep, you missed how all righteousness is found and fulfilled in Christ. The new Adam restores relationship with God to sinful man. The new Adam has God say "this is my Son with whom I am well pleased." No other human could have God declare "well pleased" just as God declared his creation "good."
Jesus is fulfilling the covenant before your eyes and all you can think about is...water. You're missing the amazing work of God while you try to gain your own self-righteousness through water. How I wish the scales would fall from your eyes, Arsenios.
