I'm cooking for 8 people on Thanksgiving. We're having lasagna, meatballs, garlic bread and then my nephew loves the way I make cheesy potatoes, so I'm making those especially for him. My sister wants a turkey, but she'll have to take care of that because I have too much work ahead of me as it is. My niece is bringing two pies.

Yes, largely. We should have 4 adults and 4 kids, my best friend and his family will be joining ours. We will do turkey, stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, bread, and sweet potato casserole.

We were invited to friends this year. I don't have to cook but enjoy fellowship with others this year.

I want to come to your house for Thanksgiving.

I know this is American heresy, but honestly, I don't really like the traditional Thanksgiving meal. It's all SO carby and bland. Pretty tasteless. And (I know this is really heresy), I don't like Pumpkin pie.

Thank goodness we don't have that here. Protestant churches here do have thanksgiving day for crop and labor, but they don't have to cook for the whole family.

They decorate the church with flowers or fruit. Or a large basket of fruit is placed.

We’re making the turkey and a couple other things. Our daughter is making a bunch of sides and bringing them over. And we’re providing an essential…. Canned cranberry sauce. I think I’m the only one who eats it.

We’ll have either 6 or 7 guests.

Three guests are staying at a hotel, but they’ll probably get here early and hang out for the day. Please pray for me. I’ve been having frequent panic attacks, primarily in the morning/early afternoon. I’m really afraid I’ll have one when everybody’s over here. Please pray that I don’t have them, or if I do let them be brief and mild.

My father in law is bring two pies but other than cherry, I don’t know what he’s planning to bring. Probably pumpkin. I like pumpkin pie but I want apple, too, so I have to find out what the other pie is that he’s bringing. If it’s pumpkin, I’ll get apple.

oooh I love cherry pie!! I'd eat that one. My dad prefers apple. Have you ever had an apple pie made by the Amish? They're really good.
