On November 2, Texans have the opportunity to approve this Prop:

"Proposition 3: restrictions on religious services

If approved, Proposition 3 would ban the state from prohibiting or limiting religious services, including those in churches and other places of worship.

The move stems from conflicts over churches that closed during the early months of the pandemic in 2020. Some local officials extended stay-at-home orders to include places of worship, requiring them to limit attendance or make services virtual — a trend Gov. Greg Abbott and other Republicans pushed back on." -- This is from the Texas Tribune on 15 Oct. 2021

So, if this passes, churches can not be closed down, even if another pandemic occurs. Brings it back to personal choice. If one feels they shouldn't attend during a pandemic, that is their choice.

Another proposition is to allow residents of nursing homes assisted living and other care facilities to name an essential caregiver to be able to visit them should a facility have to close to visitors, such as happened during COVID.

I need to move to Texas or Florida! Those are two states where voices are heard and tyranny doesn't reign.

That makes a lot of sense. The kind of thing that was being done to the elderly in nursing homes was a disgrace.
