I've scheduled an appointment by phone with my GP today to have some sleeping pills prescribed to me. It's been 6 months since I've been sleeping badly currently in life having dissociation and stress and anxiety attacks at night. I hope with them, I can sleep well at last.

Did you get your sleeping pills? How did they work last night? Sleep well?

Sorry to hear that you are prescribed for sleeping pills.

When I lost my husband few years back, even i was prescribed for those as I used to get anxiety attacks. A youth pastor asked me to throw all those pills into the trash and supported me through Prayers then. It helped a lot.

Since 2 months, am going through depression and anxiety due to a break up and was prescribed anti-anxiety pills. They earlier used to make me feel drowsy when at work but now that went down to some extent. I am only taking one now and it seems to help.

I found another way to sleep which seems to be working great for me. I have night long Prayers on or Praise & worship available on youtube/internet. I simply place my tab or laptop on charging and have them on very low volume a little far from bed. I am able to sleep well.

I thought of sharing with you and hope it helps you too. I am sure God is mindful of our stress and anxiety. HE is going to turn the situation around soon. Dont give up!!

Now that I'm older I don't sleep as well as I used to. When I was young, I could sleep 8 hours or more no problem. Now I'm lucky if I get 6-7 hours of sleep.

I'm having that trouble too but my thyroid hormones are being adjusted now so I hope it gets fixed again.

I do not need to take sleeping pills. Whenever I hit the hay, I end up falling into a deep sleep within 5 minutes. The period of sleep (7-9 hours) feels like one minute - I'm not sure why it goes so quickly!

I don't like taking anything because some prescription drugs are hard on your heart, liver, and kidneys. I took prescription medications for years and they made me sicker than a dog sometimes. If I have a horrible headache, I'll consider taking some Ibuprofen and laying down.
