As a child Sunday School was really boring to me. Reading the Bible isn't exactly what most 10 year olds enjoy doing. And our teachers didn't exactly go out of there way to make it fun/interesting. However, as an adult I realize that even though I didn't really enjoy it, I still learned a lot of Scripture and it had a huge part in forming my faith.
However, other parts of being a "church kid" I really enjoyed. VBS was always enjoyable, children's choir was fun (even though I can't carry a tune in a bucket), we had something called Royal Ambassadors which I call Baptist Boy Scouts. In addition to learning things like how to tie knots and build a fire we also participated in mission projects and learned about missionaries. I remember we took baskets of fruit to the elderly at Christmas and collected bowls of coins for world hunger day.
